FIBER OPTIC LOAD CELL OSP STRAIN GAUGE
The optical load cell is designed to measure horizontal (radial or flexural) strains at the bottom of bound surfacing pavement layers. Each load cell can accommodate one or two orthogonal sensors.
The optical load cell, after installation on sample core, is designed to be retrofitted in existing pavement surfacing layers (Asphalt concrete, Portland Cement Concrete or other bound material) through a small diameter core hole in order to minimize perturbation to the pavement layer to be instrumented.
Opsens’ Fibre optic strain sensors OSP are imbedded in the polymeric proof body. The gauge also annihilate stresses imposed to the strain sensors during pavement construction maximizing thus the rate of success of pavement instrumentation.
For multi-level strain testing, cell load can be installed on different section of the core. When assembled and installed in a pavement structure, the multi-depth gauge allows for accurate and reliable measurements of horizontal strains at different stage of the road infrastructure. Providing a more global picture of road structure performance.
PROSENS SIGNAL CONDITIONER
The ProSens is a polyvalent, scalable signal conditioner. It has been developed with cutting edge technologies to provide the user with the most flexible tool for performing temperature, pressure, strain or displacement measurements in the most adverse conditions.
The PSP-62 can be configured to sample measurements at rates up to 1000 Hz. This technology is best suited for higher accuracy measurements.

FIBER OPTIC DEFLECTOMETER ODP DISPLACEMENT SENSOR

Opsens' ODP-A Fiber optic displacement sensor is specifically designed to offer high precision for the most demanding environments like pavement monitoring.
The specially adapted structure deflection system provides accurate pavement deflection under test loads. Its is tailored to meet the many challenges inherent to outside conditions and on-sites realities, while providing precise information on pavement deflection.
Deflection analysis can be performed on multiple levels so as to get structure behavior adapted to different depths.
Combined with Opsens' WLPI signal conditioning technology and with the inherent advantages of fiber optics, the ODP-A delivers unprecedented repeatability, resolution and reliability in the most adverse conditions.
