Temperature Sensors
Opsens fiber optic temperature sensors provide second to none performance to various industries. Offered in two different temperature sensing technologies.
The WLPI (White light interferometry) technology optical temperature sensor is highly robust, offers a resolution of 0.05°C the highest in the industry and an excellent accuracy of ± 0.15°C. Using the monocrystaline birefringence crystal as temperature transduction, The OTP series does not show thermal creeping or aging.
The SCBG (Gallium Arsenide −GaAs) technology OTG series optical sensor is available in diverse packaging. It is the smallest optical sensor in tcolhe industry with a dimensionof 0.170mm OD offering a fast response time of less than 5ms. With an accuracy of ± 0.2°C and resolution of 0.05°C, it is designed to meet the requirements for the life sciences and medical industry. The OTG sensors is available as surface sensing probe offering superior surface temperature measurement and most robust packaging for oil filled transformer winding temperature monitoring.
Opsens OPP series fiber optic pressure transducers are designed to provide accurate pressure measurement in the most adverse conditions. Its small size and EMI/RFI/MRI immunity makes it the ideal sensor for Medical, Life Sciences and industrial applications.
The OPP-M designed for physiological pressure measurement in preclinical environment and for OEM integration is 0.4mmOD with outstanding repeatability. Exhibiting minimal temperature shift and moisture induced drift; the OPP-M sensor demonstrates high fidelity pressure measurement with no phase delay and is not susceptible to external perturbations. Immune to MR /RF and electro-surgery environment, the OPP-M is ideal for applications seeking for tip pressure measurement in existing applications and with potentials for new applications.
The OPP-A/B is ideal for continuous operation in harsh conditions that face severe space limitations, high temperature, explosive and long term monitoring in outdoor environment. Available in ceramic or metal housing, OPP-A/B sensor is available up to 5000 psia (350 bar absolute).
Opsens’ signal conditioners are offered in two technologies :
- The WLPI (White Light Interferometry) technology for temperature, pressure, strain and linear position measurement.
- The SCBG (known also the Gallium Arsenide) technology uniquely for temperature measurement.
All Opsens’ signal conditioners single channel and multichannel are available in full features or customized OEM version ranging from 20 Hz sampling rate to dynamic 1 K Hz sampling rate.
Opsens’ OSP fiber optic strain gauge designed for stress analysis testing, is also for use in the manufacture of load cells and other customized transducers. Available in various packaging as small as 0.23 mmOD with strain range up to 10 000μe, this miniature fiber optic strain gauge is highly suitable for smart structure researc activities and long term monitoring in corrosive environment. Used for static or dynamic measurement, the OSP strain gauge delivers accurate and reliable measurement in high temperature, high Electro-Magnetic and Radio Frequency Interference fields (EMI/RFI), and nuclear and explosive environments.

Displacement Sensors
The ODP position sensor is ideal for applications that require high tolerance to environmental extremes and long operating lifetimes, intrinsic safe sensing method and industrial environments with long cable runs.
Opsens’ ODP linear displacement sensor based on the WLPI technology offers a 25mm linear stroke length with 1 micron resolution and 0.2% FS accuracy level.
The ODP linear position is completely immune to MRI, delivering reliable measurement in the presence of EMI/RFI, electrical interference, and adverse outdoor environment.
